During residency at Glogauair, Mimi has collected old photographs: portraits, holiday snapshots and family photos in Flea markets. Once, these photographs were cherished by people, but now they are abandoned, lost objects. It evokes ambiguity and uncanny. Mimi, as an artist, is fond of lost and unknown things. She tries to bring back and meditate about lost time, memory and past lives.
In this project she shows not only old images that she collected here in Berlin but also her family photos and photographs she has taken. She wanted to create a flow based on her imagination in which she wanders without knowing the final destination. She connects old and new images like she plays puzzle and invites the viewer into the times and memories she has created.
